The Footloose Dance Orchestra
Re-creating the wonderful music performed by the finest Dance Bands and Dance Orchestras from the 1920s & 1930s
The Footloose Dance Orchestra presents a unique opportunity to dance to the authentic period sounds of a live 17pc 1920s & 30s British Dance Orchestra. The FDO perform many of the great hits of the day made famous and broadcast by band leaders including Henry Hall & Jack Payne with the BBC Dance Orchestras, Ambrose, Ray Noble (Al Bowlly), Carroll Gibbons, Jack Hylton, Mantovani, Roy Fox etc....
Variety is guaranteed at any FDO event. Our dances feature the dominant ballroom dance styles from the 20s onward including the Charleston, foxtrot, waltz, Viennese waltz, quickstep, rumba, jive, cha cha cha, samba and 'old time' favourites.
So, get on your dancing shoes and let the Footloose Dance Orchestra transport you back in time to
“when good music was popular and popular music was good”.
